Hi guys,

Having a bit of a problem here and hope someone will be able to help out!
I have been given a brand new Macbook Pro to setup, 4gb RAM i7 etc, and I am looking for an email client that will support our exchange server at work, which is running Exchange 2000.
I know this is old, but the IT manager has no plans of upgrading anytime soon.
I have been searching for hours on this. I have found that Entourage 2008 will work, but you cannot download a trial anywhere, and I want to see if it works before paying for the software etc.

Office for Mac 2011 only supports Exchange server 2007 and above.

Anybody have any ideas as to what I can do?
Any email clients out there that will work?

Cheers!

Tried this route Revels :(
Wont connect, says password is invalid, when I know 100% for sure that the password is correct.
More hassle than its worth if im honest but I need to somehow get it working!

Mac Mail?

We run entourage 2004/2008 and outlook 2011 that all connect via Exhange.

Just download a copy of mac office as you don't need a product key for it.

I have tried Office for Mac 2011 and that doesnt work at all. Says that the Exchange server isnt responding and from what I have read, only supports Exchange 2007 and above!

I have downloaded Office for Mac 2008, but need a product key for it :(.

Mac mail gets the same error, server not responding, and after some research, apparently supports Exchange 2007 and above as well!
