will colour coding (spraying the plastic bits) effect resale value? Also how much should i expect to pay for a good job?

About £150-£200 for the work, depends on the bodyshop and how far you go with the colour coding.

Doubt itll effect the re-sale value, wont decrease, but then again wont increase it......

Im not bothered about it gaining in price cos im sure it wont. I just dont want it to drop big time. I was thinking spoiler, side bump strips, top of rear bumper, top of front bumper, bottom of front bumper and door handles. Im not bothered about the plastic holders for the wing mirrors.

Maybe £200-£250 then.

Definately wont drop in value, as it will look more like a 172 than a basic spec model.....

any ideas on extra insurance costs for this or will they just add it to the notes, seeing as they are existing parts?

Depends on your insurance company.....

Some wont charge any extra, but others will as theyll see it as making the car more desirable i.e. more likely to get nicked.

Phone them up and ask them before you get the work done (or just dont tell them about it!)

thanks guys. Got insurance and tax to pay or next month so ill see how much money ive got left to pay for the spraying. Renault insurance dropped me a quote after the free insurance at only £464 but after reading the small print it is dependant on me having 4yrs no claims prior to free insurance so i thought it was too good to be true.
