reseting trip computer

How do i reset the trip computer on my 172 cup? want to reset the miles now i have filled it up, to see how many i get out of the tank

The usual way. Push the pin thing in the dials.

press the button on the end of the right stalk 3 times (iirc), that will display mpg. then press the button on the dials to reset the trip.

edit: beaten to it.

What a f**king blind t**t i am! didn't notice the reset button on the dash, was concentrating to much on the button on the end of the stalk
