Retaining steering radio controls with Sony head unit

I just recently fitted my Sony head unit(CDX-GT50UI) to my Clio mk2 and was wondering if there is anyway that i can use my stearing controls through this stereo?

I bought and fitted the proper ISO adapter leads from halfords and even the sony patch lead, but the patch has an AUX speaker jack for the back of the unit and there is no connection at the back for it, so the patch lead is essentially useless to me.

any help with this would be great.

Sounds like the headunit isn't compatible with steering controls.
