Rev counter illumination on and off

Just out for a drive in my 182 and the rev counter illumination went off, and came back on and went off. Seems like a loose bulb or connection - any ideas?

Had exactly same thing so interested to learn possible cause. Weak battery maybe?

Had the exact same on mine as few years ago, typically when it was wet outside.

I gave the connections in the engine bay fuse box a spray with anti corrosion stuff (acf50) and it's been fine ever since.
