Reverse Light Headache

Guys Help!!

I have a 172 53 plate with no reverse lights.

I have checked the bulbs = all working fine
I have checked the fuses = all fine
I have put the wipers on the front and selected reverse = auto rear wiper works fine

Argh!! Frustrating....

Anybody got any ideas....

I am being told that if the rear wiper works when you select reverse, it cannot be the switch. Is that correct??

Check the connection pins, they get a bit rusted / oxidated. I also had to give mine a wiggle and a spot of wd40

Are switches hard to replace and are they expensive??

try and find the one in the pic and clean it up. See if that works.

the best way 2 test it , is to remove the connector and bridge the 2 wires together and the revers lights should come on then you know for def its a switch if they don't come on the is a fault in the wiring , you checked all the fuses?
