Reverse lights!

They dont work, but are they worth doing for the MOT? I know that they do not need to work but just wondered if the police would pull me for this and could they give me a producer for it seeings they are not required for an MOT? I am rubbish at fuses and its one of those jobs I cant be assed to do.

Unless you're reversing down the motorway then I'd suggest no

not a legal requirement afaik, so no you'll be fine.

just useful for everyone else on the road to know you're reversing etc

Probably worth getting sorted out in the long run though.
For example in car parks if you were reversing and someone didn't see your reverse lights... bang.

if they aren't working and its not the fuse, what is the likely cause?

Both of mine aren't working but neither is my rear washer. Could this be connected?

Tried cleaning the connectors with WD40? Dodgy connectors are a faulty problem on Clio's.

Or It could more likely be the switch thing on the gearbox that senses when you've put it into reverse. Don't know much about that myself though, others will.
