Decided to get some dodo LPL, will the werkstat AJT cure to it okay or shall i go for the werkstat prime?

Needs AG SRP, Prime, Klasse AIO or Carlack 68 to allow it to bond properly too it.

Don't really think its worth getting the prime after using 85rd 3.02 & 85rd is it

If you want to use the Lime Prime just go straight to wax. Personally it added nothing here over properly refined final finish but little does.

It is to oily allow the AJT to bond to it, after polishing properly with the Menzerna I still use the Klasse AIO or AG SRP just to set the surface up properly for the Jeffs Acrylic.

Might just give it a quick going over with srp then, will it affect the finish of the menz?

Just give it a light hand application to prep the surface and remove anything the Menz leaves behind, wont remove anything the Menz has done as it is not filler based.

I used a brillo pad on the parts inbetween my spokes on one of my wheels, not hard, jsut enough to remove some tough tar.

The paint in these areas arn't as glossy now.

I've SRP & EGP'd the wheels.

Would this of removed the laquer or would a more abbrasive polish remove the marks and bring back the glossy look?

Wouldn't budge it on that wheel, used flash aswel.

I've got menz polishes but was just wondering if you knew if id created a load of small scratches to dull the paint and not removed the laquer.

Using something like a brillo pad is never a good plan, wheels are painted in the same way as your bodywork, you would not rub a brillo pad on that surely !

Wonder wheels and clay should have sorted it.

Hopefully you have just dulled the lacquer and not gone through it, I am sure with some elbow grease you should be ok. Be careful id you try and machine polish them, as I went through the paint on a 182 wheel trying to remove defects.

Thanks alot, no one else would notice its just me when looking up close which suggests to me that i haven't gone though the laquer.

I'll be using intensive by hand, let you know how it goes on sat.

I'll pop into halfords later so i can tackle the back two wheels, shall i get wonder wheels or megs hot wheels?

Should polish out ok then.

I just used Wonder Wheels and re-polish after if I need to as the times I need an aggressive wheel cleaner are very rare, Bilberry gets some good reviews though.

Going to give this a go tomorrow as a base for the AJT.

When i said will it remove anything the menz has done... i meant the quality of this finish?

No it wont add or detract just means the sealant will have the best base to bond to.
