Anyone pick it up?

There was a trial over the weekend and I had a trial.. hooked instantly so have the full thing and can see myself subbing for a while

It's sort of like Warcraft, but a lot more polished than when WoW first came out.

Also you can mix and match your characters attributes, which I like

Was looking at this recently tempted to give it ago, shame I missed the trial.

I've been playing this since headstart after quitting WoW.

It is ok, ticks all the boxes etc.

Only thing I don't like is the mob density. When questing on your own it is absolutely ridiculous. Too easy to get mobbed by a dozen with no chance of survival or escape. Sure you can pick your way carefully through the mobs to get to your quest objective but FFS there are so many mobs it takes hours to reach your objective and then hours to get back!

Then the bleedin quest giver sends you back to the same place again! So you spend another two hours fighting your way in and out! Don't you dare try to sneak around them etc as guaranteed you will have a chain reaction and 10 of them just killing you with no chance.

I cancelled my subs although I already have a six month plan in progress. I may keep playing but I won't be renewing after the six months.

Shame they fixed 90% of the things that made WoW crap come the end, yet they failed to fix the one thing that WoW had actually improved since it came out - the needless grinding. Granted WoW still has silly grinds but levelling in some areas of Rift is just a joke.

I agree with the mob density, it can get a bit mental sometimes

I'm playing as a Cleric, so it's a bit easier.. but when 3 mobs get on me it's pretty much lights out
