ive got a mk2 phase 1 clio and i was wondering how hard it is to fit 17 inch alloys and how much you could lower the car by.

i've lowered my mk2 ph1 by 40mm and i've got Superleggera 17's 205/40/17's on mine and not a problem even when there are 4-5 people in the car

im down 60 on 17's - they just go on, no problems.

you can lower it as much as you like to be honest, fred's ph2 is lower than 100mm afaik - only thing you've got to worry about is the front arches on cornering.

Just make sure you get the right offset wheels!
