Ripped off i think

Just got a new headunit, kenwood kdc-w3537a, which is all good but...
i got to to the shop just as they were closing and he offered it me for £100 and rrp was £120 is i was like yeah bargain!

Went to fit it in the car park, and theres no sub input asin aux (white and red) lead. :S then couldnt get that coz they were closed Just seen it on t'internet for £80 aswell!

What wire do i need to get? is it a wiring loom or something?

Might just take it back though, i should be able to get a full refund shouldnt i? All packaged and have the recipt.

If you have the receipt, all of the packaging and it is undamaged you are entitled to take it back

b******s wont give me my money back, will only give me £80 credit to spend in store so £20 lost there.

Any one know of a decent HU that plays mp3 and wma maybe with an aux input socket on the back. Not bothered about colour either

So they are giving you £20 less than you paid?? Phone your local trading standards office and have a word with them!

Go for an alpine/pioneer HU if you can, they have the best equalising options + tend to have more pre-outs. For the leads look up autoleads online or go to halfords about £14.
About the old one you bought, definately see standards office!

It is worth phoning trading standards now. Will anything actually get done? Or am i better of going down there and trying to talk him round to getting a full refund?

Well went down, tried to blag him to give me the full refund but he wasnt having it. Instead he said ill swap it for another one and lower the price. The only options open were Kenwood models so got the KDC-W4537UA and he said he'll do it for £25 so paying £125 altogether. Again tried to blag it down to £20 but no, then he sorted the invoice and just said 'cheers mate cya later, ill look after ya *wink*' :|

Picked it up and walked out without paying the £25
£100 were still to much but think im gunna stick it straight on e-bay.

Also gunna get in touch with trading standards because he has done it to a mate before:nono:
Ill not be going back though!

you're still going to phone trading standards after he didn't charge you the full amount for the new stereo, and winked at you instead of taking £25 from you? :S

what exactly are you going to tell them? im confused, you are better off here but still feel the need to complain?

Yeah but they do it to everyone. TBH i cant be bother with the hassle, just not go back there again.

In all fairness to matt_clio94 it sounds like a dodgy dealer, if it had been me I would have seeked some advice from trading standards first and inform them if it has happened before/to others.

Everyone's happy now and I'm sure more people are getting the "wink" as we sit here crying about it lol

Thats Shocking. your within your rightd to take the item back within 14 days from Purchase, If its in percect condition, fully packaged and recipt...

This guy is taking the piss, Ask him to see his returns policy notice, Bet he hasnt got one, If he hasnt then say well how can you charge me £20 if you have no Policy. Threaten him with TS, see hwo it goes.
