Road Angel re-radiating aerial.

The Road Angel in my 172 takes forever to get a signal which i am presuming is being caused by the U.V screen. I am looking to purchase the optional re-radiating aerial and i wanted to know if anyone who has the aerial where they positioned it inside the car and is it easy to fit? Thanks.

If you put it inside the car then you are back to square one!! bodywork/screen shielding it.

stuck mine on the roof...now I have a signal.

easy to fit...just hide the wires and plugs directly in the ciggy socket with a piggy back connector so the angel fits in it too.

Try Radar UK...mine cost £60....ouch!

Cheers. My Angel is already hard wired into the ignition circuit so does the aerial run off the angel or does it need its own power supply?Did you have to drill a hole through the body work to get it on the roof and if so where abouts did you place it? I must admit i do not really want to go down that road though.

You could find out how much the gps ariel from renault is (the one used for the sat nav) but fitting it would be hard. (roof lining needs to be removed)

But the end result would be very good.

A good idea but it sounds like a lot of jip for something that i will eventually take out the car anyway.

Cursed U.V screens!!!!! My girlfrind has a 1.6 Dynamique and the thing works perfectly in her car, not that she is having it anyway of course.

I popped the remote antenna for my Snooper on the rear parcel shelf, once its got a lock seems OK.

The "comfort glass" in the windscreen is a pain in the ass!

Will the wire for the aerial reach the parcel shelf? This sounds like the easiest option.

Its quite long but not sure if its THAT long tho

my wire is tucked under the outside rubberseal around the screen and then enters under the door seal into the cabin....the only restrictive bit is the internal aerial that needs to be close to the angel...hence its a re-radiating aerial...LOL!!
