Road going Track car - what do you do about insurance?

  www.cliocupexperience.com
Currently I have a track only trackcar, so it is not used on the road.

I may replace this with a road going trackcar, but was wondering how people get on with insurance.

Ideally the car will be a 182, with part/full cage, buckets, harnesses, suspension, brakes, probably some engine mods.

I am trying to get a feel for how much extra you would have to pay and if a cage etc causes major headaches with insurance.

Note that I am a mature (40+) with good history.

I used Adrian Flux on my XR2 about 20 years ago - service was diabolical when I needed to make a claim.

Hope they are better now.

Im with HIC, they just asked for a list of parts ive fitted and the costs.

Comes with track day cover included too!

I'm with Adrian Flux with mine. Cage, seats, etc etc all covered. Very reasonable, but on a very limited mileage.
