Well after my Clio bit the dust I've been after a replacement..
I've always wanted a supra and this just popped up at the right time..
It's started off from a barn find.. its been parked in a barn next to a tractor for a few years hardly moving at all.. the battery was about to explode when i got it.. the paint was awful and there was a considerable population of spiders living in it
its a 94 3.0 NA so I got it pretty cheap but it has good milage and no rust.. its a second car for me so I can afford to work on it and have it off the road for periods of time.
I am going to opt out of the company car scheme next year sometime and will be looking to buy another 1*2 then so it wont be long before im back in a renaultsport as well
the plans for it are to aim for around 400-450hp initially, but first some restoration and other work..
this is how it looked from the pistonheads advert..(a million times cleaner than it actually was)
and that (to the left) is the barn that it came from...
its had ALOT of work so far to restore it.. and im not even started..quick bay shot before and after deep cleaning..
took to detail UK for a paint restoration and James did his best with it.. will need a respray at some stage although it is now 99%
I have bought a second engine and have started building it up ready for booooooost
with a big single T70 turbo.. this is an XS Power unit similar to what my friend has on his which has held 400bhp reliably over the last 5 years.. and he gives it death!
the interior of the car was awful too..

carpets out and washed down
and dyed black
new gel plates
jap friends came round to play and help me change brakes

& Black gold interior and engine bits..

with some Focal Performance components in the front..
I have a carbon fibre bootlid and a load of parts waiting to be fitted, will be buying some BC or D2 coilovers after christmas and some Rota Grid Drifts... it also might be going a Renaultsport colour in the new year..

valve covers and a whole load of stuff is away at the powdercoaters at the moment so hopefully should have some more progress tomorrow
