I was quoted today from a guy at reanault...

£75 JUST to porgramme a key to my car:dead:

thats without the fob and the blade etc...

he reckoned it was a n hours work on the pc but i seriously doubt it would take an hour.

been quoted 80 for the full key programmed from local locksmiths... they need the immobilizer code though... do i get this from renault?

how much?

They usually charge £120 or so for it to be programmed, £75 is cheap for renault.

think il go for the 80 quid option still... immobilizer coads from renault then? i bet they charge about 30 for the privalage of tleling you the code

Sutton park normally have an offer on for £28+VAT

otherwise they charge £35+VAT


Obviously this is without purchasing a blade and fob.

It takes 5 minutes to do it. They will charge you 1 hours labour though. Your code should be on the 2nd page of your service book

No mate thats not it - usually 8 - 12 numerical digits long depending on fab no

lol not worth robbin....i have a service book which doesn't contain my code but as far as service books go mines better than the one you dont have

that is VERY expensive, renault romford charged me £34.44 inc vat to code the key to my car (i supplied the plip and blade)

that is trade price though


they even washed it

the blade was from my old car, and the new plip came with a conversion kit i bought

not sure where else they can be had though
