roll cage fitting question

Just got a omp 6 point bolt in roll cage, Its going to have the required box sections and strengthening plates welded in next week the bloke said to get the interior stripped out ready for him.

I have taken out everything but will I need to remove the head lining ? or is it possible to keep this in still ?

Remove, you won't fit the light unit in the roof

I have the same one and you will need to remove it.

In fact I even had to unbolt the steering column at the top IIRC. I left the blower/heater unit in but that was all.

Bear in mind its glued to the roof.

Be careful you don't dent the roof!

I just cut the glue with a stanley knife blade while gently pulling the liner down, came out easy enough.

Liner pulls our easily, its the massive piece of sound deadening where sunroof goes that you need to leave alone!
