Rollcage points? How do you count them?

Just had a multipoint cage fitted, how do I count the points?

It's where the bars attach i.e welded to the body.

So that makes mine an 8 point then?

2 front struts
2 floor pan front
2 floor pan rear
2 boot->chassis rails

Yes mate it's a 8 point roll cage.

They don't look like what you'd expect from 7?/8 point cages. Front struts would be the normal 7+8th points.

That's stumped me, it normally counts from each point of contact with the body not the extra bars added on.
I've never seen a 15 point roll cage advitised anywhere max i've seen is 10 point so that would be
2x front turrets
2x front legs
2x middle legs
2x rear arch area legs
2x fuel tank area legs.

Maybe someone else can clear the mystery.
