rollcage....will it make a difference

Will make a huge difference to stiffness of the car mate. Cost you a fair bit to get it fully welded in etc so that it does though.

yeh. found a OMP 10 point one for £340 posted from demon tweaks. but i cnt seem to find anyone local to fit it . and its a 3 hour drive to demon tweaks. haha

Fitting will be the bulk of the cost. Strip the car out bar the drivers seat first to make it a fair bit easier (carpet and shizzle)

Will demon tweeks fit it for you? If so, be worth 3 hours drive to get it done properly.

ive gotta check with demon tweaks as to weather theyll fit it or not . but i spose it may be worth the drive. but im gna try find a local 1st.

hmm. really ? didnt think id have to cut the dash. thats a tad gay :P. ummm. mebe i should just spend the £600 elsewere haha
im sure i wont crash nd die :S.

Just noticed you've got a valver. Check with them, I know the mkII OMP one goes through the dash.

ive emailed them :) cheers. didnt have a clue/ haha if it does i think ill give it a miss till ive got the engine sorted. was jsut gna get this out the way.

ad :) :D

what does a proper welded in roll cage weigh ,surely the weight must almost be equivalent to putting all the interior back in ,so in a staright line it would actually slow you down.

i think there about 30kg's but the standard seats weigh about that much so lightweight seats would near enough balance it out

I wouldnt bother unless i was doing a serious amount of track days, ive seen a few clios rolled and never seen one where the roof has caved.

spose. well im going to get the engine done 1st. then strip her nd see what she weighs. if i have a bit of spare weight ill get one. my dad just wants me to get one. as hes funding the epodition haha

Its on;ly realy worth it if you've got the seats and harnesses sorted and get it properly fitted and a decint cage preferably welded to the stru tops etc.

Then again I do overkill.
