rolling road tune

does anyone know a good quality place for a rolling road tune

my mk11 172 has greenfilter on it and i reckon it lags in performance a little

bin told to have it rolling tuned will it make a difference and do you think it is wise to tune a car thats only coverd 7000 miles?

There is not much to tune on modern engines nowadays as the ECU takes care of everything. The only way you will benefit is to have it remapped and if you have an induction kit fitted you will need it as all of them give lean fueling and you will cause damage to your engine. I am getting mine done next week at London Superchips. Check out the posts by Roamer, he has had his done with a Viper and exhaust and got 184BHP!! £350-400.
Milage doesnt matter.

Chris, Im getting all embarassed by the quotes going round of my mods..... just wait until next year, I wonder whos gonna follow me down a Throttle Bodies path????

Gonna get it de-catd and get PE to re run it to see if it does anything at all to the output (the cat is either restrictive or not), then hunt around for anything else.... still looking for that 200bhp figure, but it does look as if throttle bodies are going to have to be my way forward, unless anyone pulls something else out of the bag that will snag me the power in the meantime (not nitrous though, Ill be doing this for a bit of fun, but I wont count it for my normal power)

chris are you getting your car remapped or just having a superchip fitted, i also want my car remapped but i need to find out the engine code and ecu type for 172 mk 1 have you got any ideas where i can find this information

Roamer...Your comination of mods, IE Viper and zorst & remap...dare I say...<flame suit on>achieved more power output than the Renault God Nick <flame suit off>and for that I bow to you
I think Ill let you get on with the throttle bodies. Its going to cost big bucks I bet. I can hide the cost of zorst and remap from the missus ( hasnt got a clue , bless her) but TBs???? I guess thats the only way to go

Craigy....Getting it remapped, hopefully Saturday. Couldnt find 5 minutes to myself today to phone to book it in and then when I did got the answer phone. The ECU and engine code...havent got a clue where to find that but it shoudnt be a problem as Im sure MK 1s have the serial port underneath the ashtray in the front. Just give David a call at London Superchips 01895 811338 hell put you right and he sounds a nice helpfull bloke. Mention Cliosport and if he gets enough enquiries he might give some discount.???
