Roof paint cracking

Hey,
Recantly my car had a respray and body repair,
They guy told me the roof had a lot of body filler on it and he wasn't sure how much time the repair will last,
Today after 2-3 months of the respray,
I saw some little paint crack on the roof,
There is something to do with that?
Or stop it from getting spreed?

That's fucked mate.

You can either live with it or bite the bullet and put a new roof on it.

Sadly, the roof is a massive flexible panel and the filler will not like moving, hence the cracking.

The paint needs stripping off back to bare metal to see what's going on.

I don't know, that's how I bought the car.

If the painter knew there was filler, then surely he should have stripped it right down rather than just painting over the top especially after admitting the paint might not last? I wouldn't really be happy with that after paying for a respray.

From what the OP is saying, the painter made him aware before he painted it?
I'm not really sure what taking it back will achieve other than the painter saying "I told you so" and shrugging his shoulders.

Filler would mean a crease too big for debt work, normally. No harm in asking the question regarding the job

About the paint, I knew about it after he worked the car, few days before he finished, he told me he removed some of the old filler, didnt know actually what it mean,
I'm a bit disappointed it cracked only 2 months after,
I will talk with him tomorrow to see what he is saying,

If he will not willing to fix that maybe I will offer him to split the payment and just strip all the filler out until the metal and fix it well.

So thought about it,
There is 2 options,
Black gloss vinyl or 197 f1 roof decal.
