Rough idle and cutting out at junctions help please

Car  Clio 172
Hi I've recently bought a clio 172 and it is runnig rough on idle and the rev counter needle is hunting a bit I have and cutting out when you put ur at junctions or coming to a stop all the dash lights are appearing i have cleaned the throttle body map sensor and a couple other sensors changed the plugs but still the same can anyone help please cheers

Afaik a ph2 doesn't have an ICV due to the electronic TB? Any obvious air leaks around the head / plenum chamber

None at all its something really stupid I think it's in the garage just now but hes had no luck with it I am changing the crankshaft position sensor and map sensor tomorrow to see if I get any change

Yeah mate it's one of my mate that's doing it for me cause he's knows a bit about the clios as he had 172s as track car its frustrating like

Looked on other post seen a guy with same problem saying it was is lambda sensor could anyone confirm or think its worth £80 to try it

Aw well looks like its something else now there ain't no lights on at all think a should have just bought a push bike lol

Similar thing happened to me and it was my alternator charge cable had snapped off the alternator

I have changed the crank sensor mate and changed the map sensor still running sh*t getting a compression test done tonight it's got ma mate baffled like

Got the crank sensor from my work mate dingbro and tryed leads plugs and coil still no luck am chucking money at it and there is nothing changing

The thing with the crank sensor, renault changed the sensor due to faults with them which included a new loom/plug as there was different plug on the sensor. You check the loom/plug/ elctrical contacts?

Yeah mate and a got a sensor and a wee loom hing for it and not had it clio yet going into an renault specialist tomorrow with it so here's hoping he's as good with renault as he thinks lol

Just an update on car the variable valve pulley had collapsed and timing had jump lucky escape valves and that were fine thanks for the help cheers
