RPM dial

just noticed lately when i start the car the RPM needle doesn't go up straight Away.it's like 2 seconds later never realy noticed it before is it normal..or is there something wrong?...thx car is 172 mk2

soon as you start the engine if you look at the rpm dial does the needle rev round right away.mine dont it stays still for about 2 seconds then kicks in. i would have thought it would have gone round soon as the engine was started. hope this is a better description

I have exactly the same problem. also when this happens the trip computer resets itself!
Think it might be a relay or somthing along those lines.
