rs tuner arrived,help

just had my rs tuner deliverd,all that was in the box was a black box and 2 leads,is this correct,shouldnt there be a cd and instructions or something?if not then how do i get this working,how do i download the correct maps

What car do you have? Download the RS-Tuner Software from www.fastchip.nl you will need the driver as well. You can also download the user manual from the site! Try that and see how you get on!

Once you installed everything. Drop me a mail info@fastchip.nl and I'll tell you what to do step by step. Everything is described in the manual as well.

hummm just pluged it all into the car but nothing comes up on my laptop,im confused,then again i am blonde,iv installed the driver,is there a desktop icon thats meant to be there that i have to open to use the tuner?

run the rs tuner program

plug it into your car, then make sure the ignition is on but the car is NOT running

in the rs tuner click connect and you shoudl connect to the ecu

Which cal did you use? What was your original software? Did u backup your original map 1st?

yeah iv read the manual,i did back up my original,iv got it working now itsthe rst file i needed,is there a map i can get somewhere for the specific mods for my car?also tried to do a pa,what does WOT mean?as it wouldnt work

I don't know what WOT stands for but it means to start slowly and go quickly to third gear and than floor it and it will start loging!

make sure to start from low revs and don't stop untill u hit the limiter!

go into PA mode, then go 1st 2nd 3rd and then floor it in 3rd from low revs.

I was planning on getting one at the end of the month (pay day) but at the moment I haven't got a laptop.

unless you plan on having your desktop computer in your car with a long extension cable yes is the answer to your question

If you can get your car close enough to the house to run a usb cable out the window to the car from your PC then there is no reason why you would need a laptop. Failing that just take the pc to the car!!
