RS tuner help (near Glasgow)

Car  378bhp Leon Cupra R
Hi, looking to buy a RS tuner kit on 5th jan when open again was wondering if anyone near to me in Glasgow has installed one? as i am a bit conserned of doing something wrong basically...as i,m not to good with the comp to be honest
cheers....:)

im in the same boat mate. If you find anyone who does it for you could you pass me there details please

I'm planning to get one in the new year and I'm near you mate. I don't think it's terribly complicated, so you should be fine. Assuming I don't turn my car into a brick I'll help you out if you like.

maybe paul, ally we should make a day of it and get our heads together and do cars all cars at sametime "1 of your cars first HE! HE!) the main thing i am worried about is the battery (need battery charger connected when doing it because of the cooling fan runs when software is being uploaded i heard and if your battery gives in big trouble..

also just ordered my catback milltek today from drivers £400 supply and fit hopefully get it on next week.....was looking at K-Tec milltek £351 + P&P then price for someone to fit it so was quite happy with price i got at Drivers and if anything goes wrong with it i can take it back there.

Cooling fan doesn't run on a 182 when your mapping mate. only the mk3 clio (197 shape) but you can stop that by removing the fan relay.

Just back your ecu up, go for a good drive to charge the battery and then write the new map to your ecu :)

Just read the manual very carefully over and over again then when you come to use the rs tuner you will just get it :)

I'm not a million miles away from you and have one. Don't think you need a new license to use the live data part of the software either.

yeah ok mate will do. do you have a laptop? as i borrowed my gf's to use rs tuner on my car.

Ill be at Birchdown on Mon 12th around 4pm dropping my car off if thats any use to you?

oh ill also be at TDI north in warrington for the renault sport rolling road day on Sat 10th Jan.

Were adding a sheer quality to this thread that you northern boys just cant provide yourselves :rasp:

I spoke to Fastchip, you can buy 1 device and multiple licenses. You can switch the licenses round as you please, so if there were a few of us we could feasibly buy 1 box + whatever amount of licenses. I think I'd rather have the device to keep though, I don't know about anyone else? If there were 3 of us that would save about 260 euros.

i would like to buy one for myself to keep... like you but that not stopping us putting our heads together to do it right ehh.
:)
