RS tuner question

is it worth going for the Pro over the normal?

Im looking at getting this soon, iv read all the good points,anyone had any bad?

Just get the normal mate unless you plan on getting cams with a custom remap. All the pro does is allow the use of a wide band O2 sensor (which is extra).

I can't fault mine at all.

This answers a few things http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=333395 My custom remap made such a difference it was unbelievible but Ive only got the normal version and my mods are not as extreme as cams.

Like caister said unless your going to /pay extra/use the widband sensor then just go with the standard kit i cant fault it at all

sorry to hijack your thread but its on the same lines,
In the bike world (buell) there is a program called ecmspy which is free, you just plug and play for full tuning etc etc.
Can i just get somebody who has the rstuner program and cable to download a file onto my ecu or is this piece of more expensive kit something more than the program and a cable.

need to get a battery charger first though as cooling fan comes on when you do it on MK3s and drains the battery down !!

reading my .cal yestarday the highspeed cooling fan came on and 2 secs later Battery Low warning pops up so im not wanting do that again as i think the battery will die this time !

Unplug the fan relay but the slower one still comes on and it still drains the battery id rather be safe than sorry in the end though

Yup, i only had one fault witch i was amazed at !!

Piss easy mate all in all i was £260ish that was with a custom map though ( got my first revison of it today ) but the kit alone for the mk3 is 196 Euros somin like £200 delivered

What causes the compressor to disengage?

I think mine did this this morning got really frustrated as my car wasn't dimisting! When I got to uni after an hour I noticed that when I turned the aircon on or off there was no click of the clutch engaging. Was fine after I turned the ignition on and off though.

Some early 197's with Climate suffer from it, dont think there is a fix either. Had it in 3 times at Renault..... Once the fault code is logged (197) it wont work untill its cleared
