RS3 Gearboxes

RS3 Gearboxes, does anyone have any specs on them. I know thetre 6 speed, but am i right in thinking they fit a 17poo ... if so they should fit an F7r for my mk1 clio.

speaking to a R21 chap who has contacts with renault sport. He said they could fit to 172's why wouldnt they fit on a hybrid?

they are 6 speed arnt they, do we know anything about the ratios?

what variants do they do?
eg R26, 27 cup packs etc... do they use an electronic speedo?

tbh im not sure myself, but i am interested in what you find out with regards to what engines they fit etc

No LSD but quaife have one thats rather reasonable.
Im pretty sure it wont fit.

the bell will fit in the block

but the block and the box wont fit unless you knock up a gearbox mount

not sure on the shafts either

gearbox mount shouldnt be too hard.

do you know how "strong" they are? they have to deal with more power from standard anyway and its a more modern box...

drive shafts can be made up...

iirc there is no manual drive

the speed is taken at the trigger wheel off the ABS sensor

box's seem strong some people on meg sportr see 300hp and have no problem.

LSD is cheap too, as there is no solid shaft on the diff for the O/S DS

can you get me a price on the LSD?

do you know what the rules are about dials etc or how i could get the speedo to work on my clio, this is the biggest problem (i have no ABS) and using OMEX 600 management.

you could fit a ABS ring off a other model onto the rear wheel and runner a pulse sensor kit, i got mine from the states (i have a avanti transmisson and there is no output ring for the speedo sensor)

lsd is about £680 for a Quaife (ATB)

gripper are soon to realse one as are avanti - better than quaife IMO
