rt air box/or k&n

i know this topic has probably come up alot but aprently the airbox works better providing its getting some nice cold air feeds.is this true?if the airbox wetn back on would this effect the petrol consumtion and make it better?i bought my car with the k&n on already.

Dont put an induction kit onto an RT unless you dont mind losing power.

It just wont work. It will sound nice but thats it. I had a Hill Power one, about the only I.K. designed with a heatshield and that still had flatspots.

Stealin your thread a bit - what bout on a valver? Should i take my IK off and put airbox back on?
yes, unless you dont mind paying the price for a Viper (like me) or a BMC CDA

on a 16v then definitely the only way to do it is to have the air box or a carbon induction kit like the BMC......

on an RT, id keep the original airbox, i happen to have a spare if you wanna buy it off me for peanuts......

or if you want an induction kit get the Hill Power one, its by far the best kit out there for the RT
