RT Help needed!

My car was leaking a bit of water this morning ( i topped up the water last sunday) - on my way home after work the car was close to overheating - the little red light came on!

I stopped and opened the bonent - the FAN WASNT ON and the water had gone.

Filled it up again - got home and checked it again - still the fan wasnt on.

So far i think it could be the Thermostat or Fan motor is buggered - problem is i have no idea where the relay for the fan is - does anybody know where it is?????

Does anyone know what this could be???

Thanks,

Carl

try bridging out the radiator fan switch connector-does the fan work?

did it overheat due to all the water leaking out? have a look for any leaks.

feel the radiator, if it is warm then its a problem with the fan.

If the radiator isnt getting warm then there is a problem with the water circulation which is caused by a seized thermostat. (could also be trapped air)

^^^^remember to warm up the engine first as the thermostat isnt supposed to open to about 80c
