Rubber Support on Exhaust

Keeps sagging and keep needing to replace it. Any one else having this problem ?

Any ideas on how to keep it from sagging?

15-20mm i.d steel pipe.

Cut it into 20mm long sections, then secure each section into each gap in the exhaust hangar.

Secure with zip-ties.

Done.

Or cut 4 x 15mm bits of hosepipe.. ad about 3-4 pieces on top of each other..zip tie them together and pack it un the bottom bit of the rubber mount and tie it again.. worked a treat yesterday at FCS.. bloody thing broke on the Saturday night

Plus I lost a wheel arch on the shitty bumper road near the Speedway (Sorry Rob/Viper )

there was a thread on this somewhere, a member on here used two old sockets out of a socket set and wedged them in the bottom corners cable tied it and hey presto perfect!

If you make sure the middle section is supported properly by the middle hanger then the rear one also tends to last better!

rubber pipe and zip ties ftw, if you use anything metal the exhaust will eventually end up sat on a bit of metal... clanking noise, but if you use rubber it it wears just drop another bit in

I also wrap the middle hanger in a few cable ties to stop it extending too much. This seems to have helped slow down the wear on both hangers
