Rude boy exhaust for me..

On my way to work today I hit a pot hole and..... well, what a horrific noise my car is now making! I cant believe how loud it is, its setting off car alarms and its soo embarrassing! Not able to do anything about it until the weekend either. Anyone else been caught out by the crappy exhaust to help me feel better?!

The look on peoples faces as I was driving passed, you could literally see them summing me up as 'one of them'. Got a 20 mile drive home from work which I am not looking forward to!

When I was doing my Engine conversion, when I was testing it I ran it straight from the manifold. f**k me that was a noise ! And the vibration was unbelievable.

Was safe to say the neighbours were NOT happy !!!

My back box fell of on a track day.

It was loud as on the 200 mile journey home. Safe to say I had a headache when I got home.

my back box on my old saxo vts (heavily played with) decided to destroy and spit the baffles out while doing a tonne on the motorway home from scotland wasnt a pleasent drive 3 and a half hours i had to go with it blasting away. was prety funny diving through the streets by mine setting every car alarm off and giving cats heart attacks thou lol

Hadn't thought about the neighbours, only recently moved in too. Nothing like first impressions!!

Haha, going to have paracetamol on hand in the thing until its fixed! It's not as if you can avoid the noise in anyway shape or form either!!

My field carf has no exhaust. To be honest it sounds bloody great

get your self to halfords ect and get some exhaust gum / exhaust paste

should seal it up untill you can get it sorted proper

Use gum not paste. ;-) paste goes hard and stops movement of exhaust. Not good.

Yet to see how bad it actually is, will get under the car tomorrow morning and if not to bad I will go down the gum route!

i had my car for 2 days then had a car flash me to move over on the motorway so as you do i dropped a gear lol and my back box came off!! The noise was unbearable i got a new one the next day due to being embarrassed to drive it with it off

Mines got a couple of cracks on the welds at the minute, getting a new one this weekend but one is just before the cat and you can hear it piping like mad of you put your foot down... Sounds pretty cool but it needs to be stopped lol

Well I had an interesting drive home thats for sure, thought it would be rude not to give it a bit a welly on the dual carriageway an my word what a sound! Going to go have a look in a second to see if I can see where it has given up and Im really dreading the drive to work!

I got a mate to look at my 'slight blow' the other day, turns out the weld has gone maybe half way around the pipe going into middle box! Hopefully looking at welding it up this weekend. Strange thing is, it doesn't sound bad, just blowy. Fingers crossed. Don't need the cost of a new exhaust!

Just looked at mine and I have a hole of aproximately 2" by 1.5" Is exhaust gum really going to work on a hole that big?

I had nearly 50 mile drive home from work when mine went, then had trek from Telford to Cardiff then had approximately 150 miles to get the thing done as wanted to go to a specific place. I was deaf in left ear by time I got there!!!! (This was in a 172Cup!)
