Rumbling sound?

Got a rumbling some coming from the front end of the car... suspecting it is my bearings... they need replacing, has happened to my brothers car once, and sounded exactly the same...

It only starts rumbling when im driving 40mph+ ....

Anyone shed some light on this?

i think you got it. one way to tell for sure is to jack up each side and spin the wheels.
the one that spins the most freely is the dodgy one, iirc.

Taking my car to Kwik-fit tomorrow to see what the problem is...

they wont fix your bearing, if it is that.

Been there before and they said they only do them when they do brakes.

they wont fix it like they said, i changed my bearing like 2 weeks ago and it sounds like urs

Well i'm lucky to be alive i have to stress.

Took it to Nationwide Autocentre.. they checked my car... and found the problem to be an incorrectly bolted wheel... i had one front wheel which was completely loose. i have to say i am lucky to be alive.. was driving to thorpe park and into london y'day with that sound.. i can't believe it.

My friend did my wheels up to check up on my brakes.. eek.

I've got the same noise, only really hear it around 40 mph. I'll go and check wheels now!

If it is the bearing any idea how much a mechanic will charge or how long it will take and what the part costs??

£50 - £70 fitted, iirc.

much less than 1 hour to do.

Like someone covered kwik fit won't do them.... nationwide do it
