Running a ipod touch on a new HP laptop.

I have been unable to get my ipod touch working, with my hp laptop running windows vista.

I've taken my laptop and touch to my nearest apple store, where i had a meeting with a so called ''Genuis''. He said i was the 4th person this week with the same problem. :dapprove:

Any ideas????
