Running Ext FWire Hard Drives in Series

If you have a Firewire Ext hard drive which is connected to a PC. Can you connect another firewire drive to existing drive (if it has a port)?

So in essence you get two drive connected in series which are recognised by the PC as separate drives

That's the plan, i think they call it "Daisychaining" in the industry... Lacie external triple or quad interfaces are good explamples.
