Running on 3 cylinders, sounds like a scooby!

So i just went to nip to the shop and half way there i sttopped at traffic lights, then went to set off at green and the car started spluttering and popping/banging intermitantly and what sounds to be running on 3 cylinders.

Had the exact same thing happen a couple of months ago which ended up being lead number 1 which had fried my coilpack and blew a fuse.

I just checked said fuse and its still whole, i tried my old coilpack and it ran even worse..

Any ideas before i start shelling out on plugs/leads and coilpacks?

Uploading a video to youtube just now so ill post the link when its done!

Thanks danny.. is there any way to try and clean the injectors or anything before i fork out 70 quid for renault to tell me something simple?

Cheers

They can be ultrasonically cleaned but if you get your fuel rail guard off you can then unplug injectors one by one when car is running to determine which one.

Then switch that with a working one and see if the misfire is then on the one you swapped with if that makes sense?

When mine did this it was a coilpack or lead.

Just thought id mention that like. DannyR knows more about clios than this whole forum in fairness! ;)

Cheers Sam, I've encountered most problems!

You unplug each injector on the injector.

Crap picture but you can see under the top plenum the little circle which is on the end of the fuel rail (it won't be on ph2's) but this is where you unplug the injectors.

Thanks for the info but it turned out to be the 'inlet solinoid valve' sensor thing above the oil cap. Was lose so ive stuck a bead of silicone around it to hold it still and its running mint again :)
