Running on an RR, disconnect stock airfeed?

Having a run on an RR tomorrow, considering the bonnet will be up and there will be whacking great big fan infront of it would there be any negative points to disconnecting the standard airfeeds from the airbox leaving.

The idea being that it should be less restrictive than leaving the standard feeds plugged in, or will it cause the engine to run worse?

I know on the road I wouldn't bother as it's just end up sucking in hot engine air.

wont be a true reading really if you start disconnecting hoses etc.

unless u want pub ammo rather than a real road figure.

PS: we all know RR read outs need to be tacket with a small pinch of salt!
