Rust - How far gone is too far gone?

Curious as to other peoples opinions, this is a video I've received from a seller, unsure if these are too far gone?

Nah that's fine, wire brush and treat and be fine for years

My old PH1 looked like that, but as @Coops Mk1 say's cleans up better than you think.
Just put the time in

Ive just started on the passenger of mine tonight and they come up well.
I forgot to take a before pic, but here’s the drivers side for reference.

And the side I’ve just ground back.

Admittedly, this side wasn't as bad but there was a fair amount of surface rust.

My 07 van is waxed in there from Renault!
Pity it took so long for them to realise
