rust on inner boot ph1

ive just opened the boot to get something out and noticed a horrible line of rust right along the boot where it touched the bumper when u close the boot if u get me? but inside not out...anyone elses ph1 suffer from this? theres no rust at all anywhere else so i think it will be getting sprayed!

Mines been outside a beach for the past 5 years lmao, salt air has eaten it nicely!

Is it just a small patch or is it actually flaking, like you can pull it off?

no its just tiny bubbles all the way along..the type that would be easily sanded off it must be leaking though from somewhere but its dark and lashing down now so il have to look 2moro

Mine was rusting after 30,000 miles. Thankfully mine had Full Renault History so it was replaced under the anti-corrosion warranty.

thanks for that mate gets horrible ideas of haircuts and things out of my head! mine wont be then i dont think il need to look, would it still be under if all my history was renault?

Its a 12 year, 100,000 mile anti corrosion warranty iirc.

It will need to have full Renault Service history for it to still be valid.

why not just get a newer boot lid in the same colour??

because it wont be the same colour exactly...its only a strip on the inside anyways and its a much easier job to sand down abit of rust and spray over when my brothers a panel beater and sprayer by trade anyway
