Rust prevention?

Posted this in the wheel section first but no response so thought I'd see if any of the cleaning buffs have any ideas! Basically I'm looking to get my polarised wheel bolts on this week, but I've heard they're prone to rusting... wondering if there's anything I can apply before getting them on to help protect them, and what I can do as part of a monthly clean to stop them from deteriorating? Anything from Halfords would be great as I can walk there on my lunch break from work.
