Rusty engine

HI guys

My engine block is mad with rust but it seems to be the only part which is strange but i was just wandering if anyone had any tips on how to clear the rust? i will post a picture later

The sump and head are ally so won't rust.

wire brush the rust then paint it.

thatnks man but my sump is rusted untreated aluminum will rust :/

That is a mess! Is it just the block?

block and the sump that is it everything else is only a tine bit but nothing to worry about

I'd be taking that back to him and saying 'WTF is this?' It's as if he's parked it in the Sea for 8 year!

Have a go with a wire brush and see if the worst comes off.
