S111 CUP’s new owner!

  Pink & Blue 182, JDM DC2

Just had an e-mail from a guy called Paul telling me his mate has just bought my Clio Cup which was written off in April. For me, good luck to him, I wouldnt have touched a car thats had 3 accidents and a write off in its life... BUT anyhow.... ;)

My insurance company classed my vehicle as "beyond economical repair" and then written off. About a month ago I got a letter from the DVLA telling me its been scrapped. I was told I could not have salvage rights to the vehicle and was not allowed to buy it back.

Should I be concerned that someone has just e-mailed me telling me theyve just bought it! Surely the breakers cant sell a car thats been scrapped? I thought it was for parts only and you couldnt actually remove it from site?

Thoughts?

Ive e-mailed the guy back - frankly I wouldnt touch it with yours! 3 pretty big accidents including writing it off.

That car was jinxed. Oh by the way, dog-bone mounts gone, wheel bearings gone, O/S rear shock has gone, front N/S calliper sticks, 2 wheels have buckles, gearbox is groggy, doesnt always start, has had cylinder head helicoiled after it spat a spark plug, coil pack goes frequently, random lights kept coming on, exhaust rattles, cats fooked, done the ring and has been thrashed for all 57,000 miles.

Enjoy. :D

Did they buy it as an accident damaged repairable or was it a complete running car? Scrappys are famous for putting chassis nos and vin plates from scrap cars on to stolen ones. I would defo investigate this one.

Same happened to my mates 106 XSi. Fox ran out in front of him on a wet road. Hit a tree.

Total, complete wreak!!! Just about got a decent sum off the insurance company.

Some women phoned him up a few months later asking for the alarm keys and the manual. Told her to f**k off.

LOL!

my mate bought a mazda 323 a few years back, from a salvage yard. it had been an uneconomical repair, but some one had fixed it up and it was ok, aboiut 18 months later the back end slipped on some ice into a kurb smashing all the rear axle up, was a right off, and where he left it someone side swiped it looks like something with a bull bar did it cus it was wrecked, insurance asured him it would never be put back on the road but couple months later a guy rang up for the spare key cus he was putting it back on the road, so it looks like it happens quite a lot!

LoL,I saw your car advertised,a mate of mine showed me and was thinking of getting it to do up. It looked pretty fooked in the picture-stickers still on it though!

I cannot belive they sold your car after what youve said happened to it.

Any idea who bought it? Surly even as scrap there little can be sold on.
