Forgive me but i fail to see the poin in buying probably the best handling stock hothatch ever then changing the best thing about it to go hill climb. Why not just buy a 182 and save the money?

why are you getting wound up about someones opinion on what suspension is best for their needs? just because you think that god himself hand made your sachs dampers and that replacing them is a sin and punishable by death, does not mean someone else doesn't think they are poo.
'what if' the guy has replaced them with cup racer dampers, or some other superior damper, which is perfect for his hillclimbing needs? i fail to see the point in you even having a rant just because someone has changed the dampers on their own bloody car, heaven forbid!
maybe someone told him the trophy was the best handling stock hot hatch and thats why he bought one, and to his dissapointment it didn't handle as well as he thought on a hillclimb, so the obvious answer was to change the suspension.
