It does mention this in the handbook. Keep your mobile in your pocket if you disable the auto-lock.

If fireman have to get you out, they will use tools that your door locks will be powerless against.

Yep the doors automatically unlock and the hazards flash I tested this a few months ago.

Any of the airbags operation or any crash sensors sets of the hazards and unlocks the doors.

 Doesnt sound promising!!

worst case scenario, you go ove the river bank into the canal and are knocked unconscious, (coronation street style), will the impact of water deploy the airbags or are you going to drown!!!!!!

You drown anyway. No-one will jump in to get you out, and itll take 20 minutes for the fire brigade to arrive - you are dead.

Youre right though, its possible to dream up situations when youd rather have your doors unlocked. Its just that there are a hell of a lot more situations when youll be grateful they are locked.

i like the idea. had situations where you are glad. liek driving through city centres at night. pis*ed up people or people who want the car who dont say please and thank you.

Also helps in road rage, gives you time to ge the wheel lock off the back seat and use it as a weapon of mass destruction!
