After fixing the http://www.cliosport.net/threads/clio-mk2-ph1-1-2-8v-ecu-key-swap.775727/keyfob issue i now seem to have a weak transponder on the lock barrel. If i remove the steering cowl and slide the transponder coil up closer to the key, it starts the car first time every time without needing to hold the c-l button. I cleaned the 3 pin connector on the coil but its made no difference. Does anyone know where the 3 wires are connected at the other end [BCM or ECU or elsewhere] better still does anyone have a schematic for the 1998-2000 models with the safir2 ecu and white & black BCM?
Just had to dive out with a torx driver to go rescue the other half and the baby so im in the doghouse bigtime atm.
