Samsung Kies cannot install de to lots of dll errors, help..

Hi, I am trying to install Samsung Kies onto my windows 7 64bit laptop however I cannot get it to go past about half way before it comes up with lots of .dll errors and just fails.

Anyone any ideas?

Try running the installer as administrator.

If that fails, try setting compatability to a lower version of windows.

I hate COM with a passion.

tried installing compatibility mode Vista and as administrator, but still the same errors, any other ideas please?

No idea - all I will say is Kies is awful and puts me off buying another Samsung.

kies is sh1t, if your upgrading, do it with odin

In that case I bet it's due to the 64 bit OS and the installer not correctly supporting it, it's probably using the wrong version of regsvr32 to try and register the DLLs.

See if there's a newer installer or one specifically for 64bit.
