(Yes I know this probably ought to go in the Interior forum, but Ive tried there already and no worthwhile responses so far...)
I would like to add Sat Nav to my Clio. I dont want to go silly and spend £2k on an install, but have around £650 to spend on it. (Please no useless comments about spending a fiver on an AA map!)
So far I have two options, either a full dedicated install, such as the VDO Dayton system, which I could get for around 600 sheets second hand, or a PDA based system (PDA, TomTom 3 software and GPS reciever), either a wired or bluetooth version. This is where I get confused... there are so many PDAs around and so many combined packages Im at a bit of a loss! A full package starts at around £400 (inc Del + VAT) and rises to about £650 for a better specced PDA.
Someone here must have a PDA based Sat Nav system, or at least know something about them! Help!
