Sat Nav on Clio 172

Well ive just ordered my clio 172 this morning :D Ive gone for the sat nav option, does anyone have any pics or any more info on the sat nav system that is fitted?

Damn shame i have to wait 8 weeks for it :( I cant wait :D

i think you can but its even more obscenely priced to retrofit than it is to get from factory so you are probably just as well to get a fold out monitor head unit with nav

  Skoda Fabia vRS

we do Sat nav at work with arrows and a voice for £1k which includes fitting and a map............we also sell headunits with the same integrated.......there approx £800

your full blown proper screen stuff starts at about £1400

Ive got it!!!!

Its damn good, BUT the disc you get with it doesnt (well at least it didnt) include the TMC radio frequencies... now the install is setup to receive TMC (Traffic message channel) and this is transmitted over Classic FM nationwide, and its not reliant on the cd/radio headunit - it has its own radio receiver.

Here is a pic of the unit with the first screen it shows when you start up (Annoying, but I aint found a way to get rid of it yet)

are there any websites out there with more information on the sat nav units?

whats this cd your talking about roamer? where does it go?

and what are the other main features of the unit?

I have it also!!!!

The cd goes into the boot fitted changer.

Good features of the unit are, the gps system very quickly picks up on alternative routes if you go wrong or decide you are not happy with the route it gives you. Another good feature is the menu system with places of interest ie airports, hospitals, town centre, etc. The mapping system is excellent with range down to 125yds up to I think 50miles.

Only downside is the map is out of date at the moment and I have found a few new roads that I use and i am travelling through fields. As yet I do not know of a new version yet and my 172 was registered in may 2002

Hope this helps

whats this about a cd boot changer in the boot co2ool? is this part of the sat nav? or is it an extra? and does it work with the cd player? does haveing sat nav effect changeing the head unit? sorry for the stupid questions but my dealer couldnt give me any info on the sat nav at all.
