Saving weight by ITB

Car  TrackCar & F30 330d
Does any body know if you actually save much weight by changing to ITB?

Getting rid of the plenum, air box, and tb must weigh quite a bit.

I'll be getting bodies in the next 10 months :)

Lol,
When friends (who are not into cars) see my car they ask why i'v stripped it completly. so i explain reason for weight saving and every single one of them says "well why dont you take your little metal tax disc holder out then"

Some things i just like to keep lol

Also my track car is my daily driver atm so my back gets ruined by the coilovers and buckets, my ears get shot with the ehxaust and strippage, so the AC is my single creature comfort lol :)

Mines a daily driver too, no carpets, dash, heaters ANYTHING. Put up with it, lol.

I lie, its engineless ATM, but it was ;)

I'm trying I'm trying ;)
Tar's next :)

Airbag loom, Tar, brown soundproofing from behind the dash (Weighs MASSES), passenger seat runner?

You really dont need the AC!

I was going to take the brown sound proofing out but wasnt sure how to get it out, and it was getting dark at the time.
It will get "properly" stripped when i get a job, a lot of people make Ph1 172's and Valvers track cars so i thought i'd make my 182 a track car to be a tiny bit different. Might not be quite as good but pleases me :)

Any advice on tar removal? Heat gun or Freezing it and chizzeling it?

ITBs + aircon......why :(

why spend money on such a conversion and not get the most out of it :(

Change the steering wheel dude. Standard one is a hefty chunk, and you wont believe the difference a little sparco 330 jobby makes :D

The combined weight saving of ditching the AC system and putting the CUP AC delete kit on is 10kg

ITB's are lighter than the std inlet system, although I have never weighed them to know the numbers.

You have no experience of a full comfort equiped ITB car though, so you have no point of reference. It's LUSH having everything nice and having a lump more power on top.

Oooo also you may laugh at the camera mount but it cost me £14 for the materials and the neerest camera mount for bucketed uncages clios is 150ish quid :)

well bens clio is pretty fookin quick, and he has aircon, i wouldnt say no!.... (to ben that is ;))
