Saxo VTS chasing me chasing Ultima

First off...huge thanks to James for sending me the DVD of this - this is filmed from his seriously rapid nicely driven VTS following me pushing an Ultima along.

I know they're ultimately quicker than a 172 Cup, and I don't profess to have a faster car than an Ultima.

But, it doesn't matter what you're sat in, if you can't drive for s***...I'll own you all day long ;) (so back off the throttle when you move over to let me past  )

Enjoy...

Your Cup looks like it's on rails Mark! Nice one, I'm sure I'd love a track day (even though I drive like a granny  ) I love the way he gave up in the end..

No suspension mods, just well driven..... hey the 172 cup is the best clio if driven correctly.....!

Well done Mark....one for the Cup boys... under 3mins is goood for a std cup, i couldnt get better than 2.28 on th GT circuit.........

I have to conceed though that I was running a set of very tired Yoko A032's to help me along as well

And it might have looked like it/I was on rails but believe me, it was on the edge, moving about quite a bit from turn-in to exit...was the last session of the day and I was determined to have a laugh so just pushed the boundries (and the Ultima) a bit :D

Exhaust and breathing mods + suspension + Willwood 4 pots on the Saxo...hopefully James will stop by to confirm his setup?

Nice to see a video outside the car for a change.

Your car changes direction very quickly, looks mad through the twisty section.

Your lines look spot on by the way.

how can a clio cup keep up with that? ... i take it he was not racing :p

I am no expert but I imagine extracting all the performance from the Ultima requires a professional racing driver.

It may have loads of power in a lightwieght body but it must be a real handful to drive.

the ultima would have looked much better if he just let u past early on rather than trying to stay ahead, fudd.

nice driving.

lovely mate. In the wet at knockhill I was pushing one round the track fopr a couple of laps, got really frustrated and had to come off, couldnt get it on the straights then on the corners I was nearly hitting him
