Schrick cam shafts

Yep would be even better with a intake manifold reworking as well.

Gains your looking at 20~25hp or so your at about 166 at the moment. SO ust under 200hp a exhaust and decat/sports cat will help get to near 200hp with a correct remap

I was told by KTec that the schrick cams required a third party ecu to control them, the standard ecu couldn't just be remapped.

That applies to the shricks they are planning on selling though so not sure if they are all like that.

nope, bollox mate. You can get a set that will run with a stock remapped ecu

Yep depends what cams ther eusing must be very extreme if you need stand alone realy there abit much if they do.

I'd hate to think there just out to sell aftermarket ECU's or because they havn't got a mapping sorted fon the stock ECU like many other companies have.

How much you reckon that would be for the cams, intake manifold reworking and remap? Like 2k?

we were the first to use schricks in the clio F4R's, over 2years ago now, never had any problems! and we've been using them ever since

i love schricks!

  182
So Ktec are talking out of their arse then?

Can someone give me the full breakdown of the costs involved to buy n fit cams etc?

there is a shirck profile that works with OE managment, you will need to use a map to run them properally.

shrick are good quality

What could a 182 on stock management run with cams, inlet work etc and appropriate map?

Would there be any major losses lower down the rev' range or any other detrimental side effects?

Good figure. So i'd be looking at a potential 215bhp if the car is circa 195 before the cams?

Costs?

Are the injectors not limited to 208bhp?

doesn't work like that len, its not just "add x amount on to what you already have"

god i hate rolling roads! they cause us SO many problems when a customer comes in! "my car has 190bhp" and they want 200bhp (for example) and then you tell them the price vs the gains, and continue to attemp to inform them that just because a rolling road says you have 190bhp it ain't gospel!

we don't get into power claims, we only ever state before and after results (ie we rr a car before we touch it, and then again after on the same rr)

I can appreciate that Fred. I thought the 20-25bhp claim was a little bold hence the question re. injectors.

dont just consider peak figures... there are more gains with cams in the mid range than at the top end.

I have catcams + exhaust, inlet match remap etc on my 182. My car made 194bhp@6800 and 163lb/ft@5600 on Northampton motorsports RR. Standard 182s have run 174/175 on the same RR so you are looking at 20bhp gain from a completely standard car.

Heres the graphs.

.... but would seperate managment be better?

Mine has stanalone management (OMEX) and makes 20bhp over standard. It also used to

take more then one attempt to start
have terrible mpg
kangaroo when cold
not idle
could not use the aircon as car would stall

as Fred says it depends who maps it.....
