J JD Nov 10, 2010 #2 This won't rectify the issue buddy. Water, frost, polishing etc will all take the paint out, so you'll be back to square one in no time. Where is the scratch and how bad is it?

J JD Nov 10, 2010 #5 Unless you're about to sell the car, I wouldn't bother with "quick fix" techniques. If it bothers you, get it done properly. It will be more worth it in the long run.
